Guides Hub

Hell is Us is a single-player action-adventure with no map, no quest markers, and investigations that reward careful reading. This hub collects every guide on the wiki so you can jump straight to the topic you need without guessing which page exists.

Released on September 4, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, the campaign spans three acts: Act 1 (Family Reunion and Family Legacy), Act 2 (Searching for the Keystones of Terror, Rage, and Ecstasy), and Act 3 (Into the Unknown). Combat blends four weapon families with Glyphs, Relics, Drone Modules, and the Healing Pulse. Exploration relies on NPC directions, landmarks, your compass, and Datapad scans — not a minimap.

Start here

New players should open Beginner Tips first. It covers the first hour, Healing Pulse timing, weapon basics, and how to read environmental clues before the game stops holding your hand. Pair it with No-Map Exploration if you feel lost between objectives.

Act walkthroughs

The main story is split across three act guides:

  • Act 1 Walkthrough — Family Reunion through Family Legacy, including Senedra Forest ruins, the Watcher’s Nest, Lake Cynon, and Acasa Mars.
  • Act 2 Walkthrough — all three Keystone investigations: Terror (Arcas Spire), Rage (Jeljin and Auriga Museum), and Ecstasy (Plains of Mist).
  • Act 3 Walkthrough — Into the Unknown, endgame preparation, and the final stretch toward the Lymbic Forge climax.

Each walkthrough links forward and backward so you can resume after a break without rereading earlier acts.

Systems and side content

Mechanics that appear in every act have dedicated pages:

  • Combat & Healing Pulse — sword, polearm, twin axes, greatsword, Glyphs, Relics, Drone Modules, and when to press RB/R1 after successful hits.
  • Good Deeds & Timeloops — optional NPC tasks, timeloop domes that respawn enemies until closed, Amine Prisms, and guardians.
  • Puzzle Solutions — spoiler-labeled answers for Senedra doors, Watcher’s Nest flowers, Lake Cynon pillars, Marastan eagles, Jeljin crypts, Auriga statues, and Plains of Mist pressure plates.

Completion and advanced topics

100% runners and lore-focused players should bookmark these guides after the act walkthroughs:

  • Missables & Platinum — seven missable trophies, 26 Good Deed deadlines, Lake Cynon Ever After, and Keystone cutoff flags.
  • Endings Explained — spoiler-labeled single ending path, Golden Eye lore, Mount Obek, and post-credits stinger.
  • Mysteries Guide — all 43 Datapad Mysteries, Tania research, vault approach, and Guardian Detector cleanup after patch 1.7.
  • Bosses & Dungeons — Arcas Spire Terror gauntlet, timeloop guardians, Crypt of Modus, and boss phase patterns.

Pair missables tracking with the Exploration Checklist so Act 1 Grief and Act 2 Plains deadlines do not brick your save.

Guides cover story and mechanics, but other hubs answer different search intents:

  • Codes — promo codes and redemption steps when they go live.
  • Tier List — weapon, Glyph, and Relic rankings as the meta settles.
  • Tools — calculators and reference utilities as we add them.

How to use these guides

Read objectives in your Datapad, then cross-check the matching walkthrough section. When a door blocks progress, open the puzzle guide for approach notes without spoiling earlier areas you have not reached. For combat walls, review Healing Pulse timing before grinding gear. Timeloops and Good Deeds often gate the best Glyphs and Relics, so consult that guide whenever you spot a shimmering dome or a distressed NPC.

Videos appear on select pages only — at most one embed per guide, placed mid-article after generate. Every other page stays text-first so you can search quickly during play.

Game facts at a glance

Hell is Us launched September 4, 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S as a single-player title from Rogue Factor and Nacon. There is no multiplayer and no user-placed map markers. The campaign is organized into three acts with named investigations rather than a quest log UI. Act 1 covers Family Reunion and Family Legacy around Senedra Forest, the Watcher’s Nest, Lake Cynon, and Acasa Mars. Act 2 sends you after Keystones of Terror, Rage, and Ecstasy across Marastan, Arcas Spire, Jeljin, Auriga Museum, and the Plains of Mist. Act 3 wraps with Into the Unknown toward the Lymbic Forge finale.

Combat always allows two melee weapons — sword, polearm, twin axes, or greatsword — plus Glyphs, Relics, Drone Modules, and Healing Pulse recovery after successful hits. Timeloops respawn enemies until guardians fall and an Amine Prism seals the anchor. Good Deeds track optional NPC tasks that often reward gear missing from the critical path.
